Job Description

Position: Project Manager

Position Reports To: Area Manager

Position SummaryThe Project Manager is the primary point of contact to the customer. Project Managers are responsible for the life cycle of a project. From estimate, contract award, job setup, development of project plan including resource planning, activity sequencing, risk mitigation, etc. to project closeout. The project manager must closely collaborate with the key stakeholders to comply with site safety requirements, project specifications, and other relevant requirements.,

Essential Functions

  • Manages and leads all elements of the project from estimation to completion.

  • Attend bid meetings/job walks to understand customer expectations / requirements, scope of work, and job site conditions and estimate work and prepare proposals based on the information.

  • Set up project kickoff meeting and contract review with stakeholders.

  • Communicate project requirements and work with the field leadership to define job schedules, work scope, productivity metrics, etc.

  • Perform continual project reviews, with client, company leadership, internal project staff, contracted parties, etc.

  • Establish and maintain communication with the appropriate individuals throughout the process to ensure smooth operations through scope of work changes or any issues that may arise

  • Own KPIs and establish project controls to ensure projects are progressing according to budget.

  • Responsible for financial health of the project and providing updates to leadership and customers

  • Ensure compliance for quality, safety and job executed per customer contract

  • Provide oversight on project invoicing, such as payroll and T&M sheets

  • Promptly communicate to the client of any additional work identified as not being within the contracted scope of work

  • May be responsible for executing the change order, documenting the change in scope, and capturing the appropriate cost differences including revenue.

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or another related field preferred (not required).

  • Experience in leading multiple projects and/or customers

  • PMP or other certifications preferred (not required)

  • 3-5+ years of project management and estimation experience within the industrial insulation industry

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods

  • Walking and working outdoors throughout the facility

  • Frequent travel to work sites and offices (driving and/or flying)
