Materials Management includes production planning, direct purchasing, and material handling, which all interact frequently with production.

This is a hybrid position.

This role will be responsible for owning the planning processes, tools, and systems to lead weekly and monthly execution for their production value streams.

This position will work with partners in production, purchasing, and engineering and with customer sites across the globe.

Your Responsibilities Include: Develops, maintains, and controls the master production schedule.

Maintains and controls the MRP signal to ensure component availability.

Facilitates supply response portion of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process, including rough cut capacity planning.

Communicates and follows up on issues related with component and assembly availability.

Fosters global partnerships with sister sites in Ireland, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica.

Participates in strategic projects to improve safety, quality, service, and cost through applications of continuous improvement methodologies Assists production supervisors with the implementation of the production schedule.

Prepares reports, presentations and graphs with monthly operating summaries for planning and execution of meetings.

Analyzes and interprets marketing forecast reports.

Develops “what if” analysis based on regulatory uncertainty.

Communicates production planning issues to relevant areas including Global Supply Chain, Marketing, Production Control, Customer Service, etc.

This role is responsible for assisting new product or acquisition integration teams by creating and monitoring build plans, attaining raw materials, OEM parts, tooling and services in enough quantities to enable project team to achieve objectives for new product commercialization & integration.

Your responsibilities will include: Materials Administration: Generates, adjusts and expedites purchase orders based on MRP (material requirements planning) along with pertinent information being used to run the business, i.e.

schedule adherence, S&OP, etc.

Generates buy action based on authorized spending amount; Collaborates with the Planning Team to maintain optimal inventory levels and find the proper priorities for material support; Tracks and monitors purchase orders, keeping informed of any problems/delays and advertises any impacts/constraints to the core team.

Supplier Management: Monitors and advertises quality and delivery performance to the supplier and Global Sourcing Team; Responsible to resolve supplier related problems (works closely with vendors to assure a positive and professional relationship always establishing and maintaining open lines of communication); Controls assets at suppliers, disposing of obsolete assets and monitoring the age of others.

Total Quality: Reviews and approves all raw material document change orders; Maintains accurate purchasing master data, AVL, info record, etc.; Interfaces with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning and Quality to ensure timely throughput and proper prioritization of materials received.

Inventory Management: Typically manages moderate to high complexity commodities and expense items; Formulates purchasing decisions to achieve 100% internal customer service, targeted inventory safety stock and least total cost material procurement; Identifies expired, excess and obsolete materials and dispositions the material appropriately.

Planning Management: Analyze and inform supply chain performance and diagnose key improvement areas (e.g., forecast accuracy, supply variability, Inventory DIOH, service level, backorder, EE&O etc.).

Support the monthly Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) processes to ensure uniform adoption across the divisional supply chain planning groups.

Support process adherence and master data accuracy for demand planning, replenishment and inventory planning and optimization within the scope of SI&OP leveraging the Kinaxis – Rapid Response solution, a recognized leader in supply chain planning software.

What we’re looking for in you: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree: preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, inventory management or planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inform at all levels of the organization as well as with external vendors Experience working in Excel and SAP/Rapid Response (or comparable ERP) system
