You want to learn more about the design process and how a team works together to get projects done.Binnie is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Development & Infrastructure SquamishDivision, which provides professional services for municipal infrastructure programs, large multi-family housing projects, recreational facilities, and major commercial and industrial developments.

This is a full-time position in our Squamish Office, located in beautiful Sea to Sky Region.

This position also offers a hybrid work environment.Projects typically include underground infrastructure renewal, drainage improvement and in-stream works, storm water management and green infrastructure, pump stations and facilities, roadway geometrics and rehabilitation, cycling facilities and pathways, and traffic calming design.You will work with our supportive team of Engineers, Technologists, and Project Managers.

You will carry out planning, design, and construction administration on port projects from conceptual level through to detailed design and construction.

This challenging role offers great mentorship opportunities.YOUR ROLE:Preparing design drawings using AutoCAD or Civil3DPerforming design work in consultation with the Engineer of RecordPreparing reports, manuals, and technical memorandumsPreparing proposals and engineering fee estimatesEnsuring quality control procedures are completed as per Binnie”s Organizational Quality Management (OQM) PolicyEnsuring that project designs and calculations adhere to legal standardsWHAT YOU BRING:Completed Degree in Civil Engineering and registration as an EIT with EGBCValid Driver”s License and personal vehicle preferredPrevious hands-on experience working with AutoCAD or Civil3DPrevious Coop experience in Civil Engineering preferredStrong written communication skills including technical report writingExcellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple ongoing projectsAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, other consultants and contractorsAbility to work cooperatively and productively in a team environmentAbility to consistently maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality in workABOUT BINNIE:We are the people behind the infrastructure you use every day.
