LNA – Post Acute Unit

We are currently looking to fill the following LNA positions on our Post-Acute Rehabilitation Unit:
8-hour Shifts
Day Shift (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM): 72 hours per 2-week pay period
Night Shift (10:45 PM – 7:15 AM): 80 hours per 2-week pay period
4-hour Shifts
Evening Shift (7:00 PM – 11:00 PM): 48 hours per 2-week pay period
We offer the following differentials in addition to the hourly rate of pay:
- Evening $3.00 per hour
- Night $5.00 per hour
- Weekend $2.00 per hour (in addition to applicable shift differentials
Positions of 30 or more hours per week are eligible for FULL benefits including but not limited to: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance, 403(b) plan with employer contribution, and time-off plans.
Job Summary
The Licensed Nursing Assistant is responsible for working collaboratively under the direction of the Unit Nurse to deliver basic personal care support and specific aspects of patient care. Responsive communication, respect, and support to our residents is the central feature of this position.
Requirements
- LNA license with the State of Vermont.

About the Post Acute Unit
The goal of the Post Acute Unit at UVMHN Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing is to provide supportive, goal-directed care following surgery and/or hospitalization. Specially-designed treatment programs provide patients with the preparation, support and education that enables them to return home as quickly as possible. Our goal is to help patients reach their highest possible level of independence. A partial list of conditions we work with includes strokes, neurological conditions, orthopedic care, respiratory conditions, and cardiac and post-trauma situations.
Routine Therapy services are provided Monday through Friday. We also have the capability of providing therapy six days a week if that is what is required to maximize positive results. Nursing staff provide the necessary extension of therapies when therapy staff are not present to provide direct service. This may include walking, exercises and supervision of other activities set up by the therapy staff.
