AP Professionals has partnered with a growing medical device manufacturing company in search of a Research and Development Scientist II (Conjugate Chemist).

This is a hands-on role working with both new and existing product development, working cross functionally with manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in conjugation, purification and formulation in a lab environment.

This is an in office role with standard business hours (7:30-5:00) This opportunity is not eligible for Visa sponsorship Responsibilities Development and validation of biomaterials to support assays Conjugation and purification of biomaterials to be used in assays Column chromatography via AKTA Pure systems (or equivalent) Packing and evaluation of a variety of different columns Prepare Buffers and solutions Analytical characterization of antibodies, antigens, and other biomaterials Supports laboratory procedures creating novel materials and formulations intended for use in the development of new in vitro diagnostic processes using established protocols and SOPs Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed in accordance with cGMP and the procedures outlined in the Quality System Utilize DOE and other statistical software to analyze experimental data Work closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities Maintain equipment in proper working order Maintain individual training records Follow safety procedures and practices Maintain a clean, orderly work environment Communicate problems to team lead, supervisor, development team lead and work closely with peers within small teams Works with computer-controlled equipment and processes Requirements A Master’s degree in Organic or Bio-organic chemistry 1 years of experience in a GMP regulated environment 1 years of conjugation experience Experience in a manufacturing environment Detailed understanding of column chromatography and related purification techniques Knowledge of laboratory and safe chemical and biological handling skills Ability to write and modify procedures Comfortable working with hazardous materials.
