Insurance Marketing Representative – Commercial Lines – MUST have Insurance Background Experience

Brown & Brown is seeking an Marketing Representative for our Commercial Lines Team in Seattle, Washington!

This is not a traditional marketing position. Please read description below:


  • Update and input renewal information, rates, and plans into clients’ Annual Cost Comparisons

  • Gather and review carrier renewals with the Customer Account Manager and Producer/Consultant

  • Draft and maintain RFP materials for review, confirm carrier list, and release RFP to selected carriers

  • Provide all proposals and marketing correspondences with carriers to the CAM for plan selection

  • Ensure various templates are up-to-date with annual compliance items and revisions on an ongoing basis

  • Create benefit and rate analysis

  • Prepare contribution analysis for appropriate risks based upon current and/or suggested schedule

  • Exercise considerable discretion and independent judgement

  • Duties are done independently or in a team environment

  • Other duties or special projects may be assigned


  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) with three (3) year experience in the field of Employee Benefits Administration, or other combination of work and/or education will be considered

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of group health and welfare benefit plan coverage, current legislation, rules, laws, and other regulations.  Insurance plans, underwriting principals, selection, pricing, rating, and premium calculation

  • Familiarity with complex benefit issues to serve as the key contact for customers to resolve them

  • Fluent with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and Excel

  • BenefitPoint experience or skills to learn software program at an accelerated ability and familiarity with AMS360

  • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
