Registered Nurse – Resource Pool

Registered Nurse – Nurse Resources (RN for our nursing Float Pool)
We are seeking full and part time Nurse Resources RNs at Central Vermont Medical Center.  If you are an RN with two years or more of experience this may be the position for you!


  • Receive a $5.00 Differential for being in the Float Pool for the duration of your shifts!

  • Become proficient in many areas of nursing including Medical Surgical, Intensive Care, Women’s and Children’s, Emergency Department and Inpatient Psychiatry

  • Education focused with ongoing telemetry, IV Certification and end of life classes

  • Receive training and certification for ENPC, TNCC, NRP, PALS, AVADE, and ACLS

  • We offer a shared accountability model that allows staff to participate in committees that govern decisions for the unit.

  • We have an online scheduling system

Position Requirements/Specifics:

  • A qualified candidate for this position must have a valid VT Nursing license and have had a minimum of 2 years in an acute care setting

  • Must be able to function independently within the scope of practice and within the broad scope to department policies and goals

  • Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, personnel and visitors by compliance with Hospital safety policies

  • Documents appropriate aspects of nursing process in medical records

  • Communicates and collaborates with all members of the health care team regarding patient care needs.

  • Participates in staff meetings at least 80% of the time to enhance communication and promote growth and development of patient care.   


  • Day and Night Shifts: Our shifts in the Resource Pool are typically 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

  • Multiple Schedules: We offer full-time (36 hours/week – 6 shifts/pay period), part time (varied options of 1 or 2 shifts/week), or per diem positions as candidates are qualified and selected, based on our staffing needs.

  • Shift Differentials: In addition to the $5 per hour Resource Pool Differential, we also have day, evening, night and weekend differenitals. Our differentials vary based on hours worked and type of role hired into. Apply today and talk with a recruiter about what these look like for the type of position you are interested in!


  • Sign-on bonus is available with 2 year commitment – up to $10,000! Must have at least one year of experience.
